Bedroom Paint Makeover

with HANDy Paint Pail

As the old adage goes “It’s amazing what a coat of paint’ll do.” After this bedroom paint makeover, I think we should add “with the right tools.” Speaking of the right tools, the fine folks at HANDy Paint Products are there to assist you in all your painting needs.

I’ll be the first to admit, when I first saw the HANDy Paint Pail, I thought it was, yet, another gimmick thrown into the visual noise of the big box store shelves. After getting my hands on it, or rather in it, that thought quickly dissolved. In addition to being a great painting accessory, I also found that it helped me doing a quick electrical job  a few months back. The idea that originally started with a humble coffee can, has quickly proven to be an invaluable part of my painting arsenal. So when it came time to paint our master bedroom, I knew exactly what tools were going to be used.

For this bedroom makeover, we’re using three HANDy Paint Products — the HANDy Paint Pail, the, new, HANDy Pro Pail, and the HANDy Paint Tray. Like, myself, my soon-to-be father-in-law was very skeptical of the humble, red pail, but quickly came to love it.

Right off the bat, let me tell you — get the liners. Few things are more frustrating than paint clean up after you’re already tired from painting. You’ll thank yourself for spending the extra few dollars in order to save you, potentially, hours of clean up. Just lift it out and toss it — it’s that easy!

Where the HANDy Paint Pail  and Pro Pail really come into their element is cutting in. The ability to bring your work to you versus going to your work is a huge advantage. Gone are the days of running back and forth to the paint tray or trying to keep a gallon nearby. As you can tell from the pictures above, with the added comfort of the adjustable handle, carrying around paint is comfortable for all ages and hand sizes; I prefer the size of the Pro Pail myself.

While not really mentioned about the HANDY Paint Tray but, I think, is pretty nice, is the wide footprint. Unlike paint trays of old, the HANDy Paint Tray has a nice and wide footprint which makes it incredibly stable and prevents it from scootin’ around as you’re trying to get paint on your roller. We all know how frustrating that can be.

All in all, I really can’t say enough nice things about the HANDy products. They made an un-fun job much more enjoyable and made quick work of every step in the process — except for the actual painting, of course. So next time you’re painting and in the aisle of the big box store, pick ya’ up one and you won’t be disappointed.
